Inspired by a beautiful locket found in an antique market and the romance and sentiment of Victorian jewellery. Common themes in Victorian jewellery were hearts. Often the gemstones spelt out a name or held special meaning. This trio of stones we have used here (Iolite/pearl/crystal) were inspired by the very common combination of Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl used in the Victorian mourning jewellery. The stones meaning: Diamond – ever lasting love, Pearl – a symbol of tears/departed loved one and Sapphire – Guard against evil/protect.
